A dismissal in Putnam County court does not erase the first booking entry by itself. If an outcome is missing from CIB, correct the source disposition with the court or arresting agency first, then follow the CIB challenge process.

A dismissal is not the same as expungement. West Virginia law offers petition routes for qualifying acquittals, dismissals, and certain convictions, but exclusions and waiting periods depend on the exact charge and history.
